Must-Have: - Epic experience required - On-call every 3rd weekend (total of 9-10 shifts of call in a 30-day period)
Description: First-time travelers are accepted for this position. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include supporting basic interventional radiology procedures. No neuro procedures will be performed. The technologist will support the operating room for vascular surgery. They will assist with X-ray equipment and scrub in cases in the interventional radiology suite. Scrubs will be provided. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, accurate monitoring, and performing angioplasty. Other skills include catheter/drain exchange, central venous access maintenance, and embolization. The position also requires proficiency in thoracentesis, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and various imaging procedures. Candidates must have experience in working with rapid response/code teams. There is an expectation to maintain a sterile field while scrubbing. Travelers are required to have OSHA respirator clearance prior to starting. Fit testing will be conducted, and travelers must be clean-shaven for an appropriate mask seal. Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the assignment. All applicants must not have worked as travelers beyond one year without a six-month break.
