Job description

Interventional Radiologist/Outpatient Based Lab (OBL)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologist to join our team in our Outpatient Based Lab (OBL) in Biloxi, MS. This position offers a unique opportunity for an IR to apply their expertise in minimally invasive procedures and imaging technology within a dynamic and patient-focused environment. We have the ability to be very flexible with scheduling during the week. We don't schedule procedures on weekends or holidays and don't require hospital call. This OBL allows for a physician to step into the practice with current support from both clinical and non-clinical staff, in place.

Physician compensation can be structured either on an hourly basis or as a percentage of collected professional billings, allowing flexibility based on market conditions, prover preference and operational needs.

We are looking for an IR who will perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, embolization, and biopsies.

Our culture is one of collaboration and teamwork. You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement the patient-centered care plans that ensure optimal outcomes. We value mentorship and guidance to junior team members and support staff.
You will be responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, providing comprehensive assessments, and deliver clear, actionable insights to patients and referring physicians. Documentation of procedures and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory and facility standards is of the utmost importance in our centers. You may participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and procedural efficiency, when appropriate.

Qualifications

- Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Radiology with subspecialty training in Interventional Radiology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Mississippi.
- 2 + years experience performing interventional radiology procedures in a clinical or OBL setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information effectively to patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to ensuring a high standard of care and patient safety.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
