**Hiring Multiple Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Positions**
  • Total compensation starting at $90k - $113k per year
  • Rotating 2/2/3 Swing Shift Schedule
  • Pay Perks: 1.5x on Saturdays, 2x on Sundays, plus 1.5x pay for any shift worked outside of scheduled shift
  • 3 weeks of vacation (prorated 1st year)

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG), a leader in the manufacture of carton sealing products located in Menasha, WI, has an immediate opening for multiple qualified Electrical/Maintenance/Instrumentation Technicians.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance, modify, and install electrical drives and controls, power distribution systems, pneumatic instrumentation, and mechanical systems in a safe manner.
  • A Maintenance Technician will have demonstrated work and leadership characteristics required to achieve success in a multi-faceted manufacturing environment. The position demands an individual capable of working on technical/operational projects that involve a broad range of equipment, materials, and procedural issues specific to a manufacturing environment.

General Job Duties:
  • Perform tasks that involve troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, instrumentation and control problems, repair or replace electrical components, replace motors and drives, Programmable Logic Controllers (AB PLC 5, 500, 5000, and MicroLogix).
  • Calibration of PID loops, build electrical and pneumatic control panels, replace, and install lighting fixtures, complete preventative maintenance work on electrical equipment, report downtown and mechanical problems.
  • Train Apprentice E & I technicians as needed.

Principle Accountabilities:
  • Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed. Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective action on those within your control. Report all others immediately to site management. Suggest ideas for safety related improvements to the process or procedures.
  • Complete all required safety training on time.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following electrical diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, etc.
  • Complete work orders and log detailed information into maintenance management system.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine equipment process care maintenance techniques.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Provides mechanical/electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares mechanical/electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Active participation in the Intertape Performance System (IPS) and participate in safety audits such as the Safety Observation program.
  • The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires Intertape Polymer Group Menasha, WI facility to comply with DHS Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program requirements to identify affected individuals with terrorist ties. Intertape Polymer Group Menasha, WI facility has opted to comply with this requirement by collecting and submitting the personally identifiable information (PII) of affected individuals to DHS for the purpose of comparing that PII against information pertaining to known and suspected terrorists maintained by the Federal Government in the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB). Affected individuals are: (1) facility personnel (e.g., employees and contractors) with access, or seeking access, (unescorted or otherwise) to restricted areas or critical assets; and (2) unescorted visitors with access, or seeking access, to restricted areas or critical assets. Affected individuals will undergo recurrent vetting against the TSDB.
  • Related tasks as requested by manager.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Two-year Technical degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical sciences and 1-3 years of industrial experience (preferred), high school diploma and 5 years of industrial experience, and /or demonstrated comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills to read and follow detailed production specifications and industrial experience.
  • Industrial experience preferred. Skills in the areas of pneumatic, hydraulic and drive systems are required. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC drives, PLC's and industrial controls is preferred. Experience with Allen Bradley controls preferred.
  • Demonstrates practical problem-solving abilities. Prioritizes work to focus on important problems/issues. Communicates clearly and efficiently with other team members. Completes job tasks in a timely manner achieving defined production standards. Posses project scheduling and small team leadership abilities. Maintains sufficient knowledge of safety and environmental regulations as they may pertain to work assignments.
  • Could regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to maintain upright and/or standing position for majority of a 12-hour shift. Often walks while performing job duties. Often carries, pushes or pulls up to 35 lbs. Must be able to bend, climb and use both hands to perform job duties. Operate hoist. Possess ability for rapid mental/muscular coordination simultaneously required for machine operation. Ability to maintain 3 points of contact for climbing stairs, ladders, and mounting/dismounting powered industrial trucks. Near/far/depth perception visual requirements required for machinery with moving parts.
