Senior HVAC Technician Responsibilities


As a Senior HVAC Technician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You will also provide technical leadership onsite and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians and apprentices
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding system performance and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and records
  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices
  • Promote a safe and professional work environment at all times


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and controls
  • EPA 608 Certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Physical ability to work in varying environmental conditions
