Purpose of Job:

The Hot Shot Driver delivers batteries to dealers when requested.They also assist with warehouse operations and assist Route Managers.

Job Components:

  • Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed

  • Load and unload batteries

  • General warehousingduties asassigned by management, including assisting customers

  • Deliver batteries to customers ona timelybasis and in a safe and professional manner

  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies

  • Ensure batteries are charged,cleanedand dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation

  • Accurately complete reports and claims

  • Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members,managersand customers

  • Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager

  • Perform otherduties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, and do basic math

  • Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required

  • Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).

  • Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift

Scope Data:

  • Works under general supervision and guidance

  • Accountable forgeneral warehouse duties and backup driving responsibilities, in addition to occasional front counter customer service.

  • Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude

Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.

  • Repetitive lifting.

  • Consistent sitting, standing and walking

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs

  • Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle

  • Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals

  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
