Discover Your Passion in the Lab: Join a Dynamic Diagnostic Team in a Charming Community
Overview
We're on the lookout for a talented Clinical Laboratory Technician who merges curiosity with accuracy-an individual committed to revolutionizing patient care through every sample processed. In this full-time, day-shift position at a vibrant community hospital in the heart of a picturesque town, you'll play a vital role in delivering critical diagnostic results. Surround yourself with dedicated colleagues, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package tailored to cultivate both your career journey and personal well-being.
Description - What You'll Do
  • Conduct routine and advanced laboratory analyses-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while adhering to standardized procedures.
  • Evaluate test results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
  • Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing when necessary.
  • Meticulously document all procedures, assist in training new staff or interns, and support the maintenance of laboratory quality standards.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health degree, which includes preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Ongoing maintenance of current certification throughout the term of employment is required.
Skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal capabilities to cultivate effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and troubleshoot effectively during fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly in quality assurance and documentation processes.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Generous leave policies from your first day and vacation/holiday credit for experienced hires.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and support for professional development.
  • A robust total rewards program emphasizing your overall wellness.

Transform Lives Through Your Work
Within these lab walls, your diligent efforts directly influence the health of patients-one microscope slide can validate a diagnosis that drives clinical decisions; another can identify an underlying issue before the patient even feels symptoms. Your expertise guarantees the level of accuracy that healthcare professionals and patients depend upon daily.
A Collaborative Culture
This role transcends mere duties-it becomes part of a connected community. You'll engage with a team that emphasizes innovation and continuous improvement. Regular in-lab meetings, skill refreshers, and initiative-driven improvements nurture an environment where every idea is valuable. You'll have the opportunity to join committees, suggest process enhancements, and even train incoming personnel.
A Community Where Quality of Life Meets Nature
Visualize a lively community where parks meet charming neighborhoods, with local farmers markets brimming with fresh produce and community events celebrating arts and culture. Cozy coffee shops serve as gathering places for discussing everything from the latest shows to local sports. Your days off may involve leisurely hikes through tranquil parks or attending a summer concert series alongside fellow locals. This warm and welcoming populace nurtures a spirit of togetherness that resonates throughout the healthcare network.
Within your reach are quaint shops, scenic walking trails, local theater performances, and a rich array of activities-from outdoor adventures to cultural gatherings. Commuting is efficient, offering worthwhile connections and a better work-life balance than you may expect in larger urban centers. The cost of living remains reasonable, allowing you to enjoy your salary towards leisure activities-picnics in the park, weekend trips to nearby wineries, and family-friendly local games.
Your Role in Community Health
Embrace Your Next Opportunity
Ready to Amplify Your Career?
Embrace a position that intertwines your meticulous talent with a community that prioritizes both progressive healthcare and warm connections-a place where each lab result contributes to gripping narratives of recovery and hope.
