Job Title:Event Operations Intern

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

The Event Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in the planning, coordination, and execution of live entertainment events within a fast-paced music venue environment. This internship provides exposure to the operational side of concerts and ticketed events, offering insight into how multiple departments collaborate to deliver safe, efficient, and memorable guest and artist experiences.

The intern will work closely with venue operations, event management, and cross-functional teams to support event preparation, day-of-show execution, and post-event follow-up. This role is ideal for someone interested in live entertainment, venue management, event operations, hospitality, or sports and entertainment management.

Essential Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of event orders and operational documents.

  • Help coordinate interdepartmental communication between teams including:

    • Operations

    • Security

    • Guest Services

    • Information Technology (I.T.)

    • Broadcasting/Production

    • Housekeeping/Janitorial

    • Conversion Crew

    • Parking & Transportation

    • Food & Beverage

  • Support the preparation of event logistics and operational timelines.

  • Assist with event readiness checks prior to doors opening.

Show & Promoter Support

  • Help manage pre-show and post-show event logistics.

  • Assist with promoter and tour requests before and during events.

  • Track and organize promoter needs, backstage requirements, and operational requests.

  • Support VIP and premium hospitality experiences and act as a liaison with internal VIP event teams.

  • Assist with artist, promoter, and guest credentialing and access coordination.

  • Help maintain and organize event expense tracking and operational records.

Event Documentation & Communication

  • Compile and distribute operational documents and event materials including:

    • CAD maps and venue layouts

    • Ticket sales reports and attendance information

    • Parking lists and logistics plans

    • Guest lists and credential lists

    • Production schedules and run-of-show documents

  • Ensure departments receive updated event information in a timely and organized manner.

  • Participate in event meetings, operational walkthroughs, and department briefings.

Day-of-Event Operations

  • Provide on-site operational support during concerts and live events.

  • Assist with guest flow, wayfinding, and operational troubleshooting as needed.

  • Support coordination between departments to help ensure smooth event execution.

  • Observe and learn venue command center and event communication processes.

  • Assist with load-in/load-out logistics and event transition activities when applicable.

Administrative & Professional Development

  • Learn industry-standard venue management systems and event coordination tools.

  • Gain exposure to budgeting, settlement support, and event reporting processes.

  • Participate in post-event recaps and operational debriefs.

  • Develop an understanding of venue safety, emergency procedures, and guest experience standards.

Qualifications
