What is an internship veterinary sales representative?

An Internship Veterinary Sales Representative is a trainee or entry-level professional who works with veterinary pharmaceutical or animal health companies to promote and sell products such as medications, vaccines, and medical equipment to veterinarians and animal clinics. Interns in this role learn about the products, develop sales techniques, and build relationships with veterinary professionals under the guidance of experienced sales representatives. The internship provides hands-on experience in sales, customer service, and product education, helping interns prepare for a full-time career in veterinary sales.

You'll likely shadow experienced sales reps during client visits to veterinary clinics and learn about the sales process from prospecting to closing deals. Interns often help prepare promotional materials, track sales metrics, and participate in team meetings to better understand customer needs and industry trends. This role provides valuable exposure to both the veterinary and sales aspects of the business, making it a great stepping stone for a future career in animal health sales.
