As a Frame Automation Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies used in design automation and by teams in the design of hardware products, process design, or manufacturing. Responsibilities include capturing user stories/requirements, writing both functional and test code, automating build and deployment, and/or performing unit, integration, and end to end testing of the software tools. Designs and builds web-based interfaces to configure launch and control tools - including frontends, backends, databases and APIs.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with advanced technologies, enabling Intel to maintain its leadership in the semiconductor industry. You will play a pivotal role in developing software tools, flows, and methodologies that empower design teams to deliver high-quality designs efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will directly support Intel's commitment to pushing technological boundaries.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, test, and debug software tools, flows, and methodologies

  • Capture user stories and requirements to ensure software solutions align with end-user needs.

  • Write functional and test code to create reliable and scalable tools.

  • Automate build and deployment processes to optimize software development workflows.

  • Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of software tools to ensure robust functionality.

  • Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless solutions that address design challenges.

  • Duties to include support of Linux EDA tool infrastructure including cadence, cliosoft, python, CI/CD and Devops.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or a related field.

6+ months of experience in:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence fundamentals and automation principles.

  • Full stack software development experience, including front-end and back-end development.

  • Expertise in debugging and testing software tools for reliability and performance.

  • One or more EDA tools like: Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Shell scripting, Perl, Python or Tcl.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux platforms.

  • Familiarity from coursework or internship or work experience in the following: Semiconductor processing/engineering.

  • Familiarity with OA/SKILL/Python VLSI mask design layout and/or verification.

  • Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso and Klayout Experience in using Calibre DRV and Calibre.

  • Familiarity with DRC

  • Familiarity with ICV or IC Validator Microprocessor design, computer architecture, and software/programming. Custom design and verification tools usage, debugging, and flow development - vendor or internal.

  • Experience with modern design methodologies or semiconductor design flows.
