We are seeking an UEFI BIOS Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the next-generation industry-standard server platforms. You will design the UEFI BIOS firmware architecture, collaborate with ODM to develop BIOS, and ensure its robustness against security threats. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact and collaborate with highly skilled teams dedicated to engineering excellence. Your work will be instrumental in delivering features that uphold strong infrastructure reliability, serviceability, and security.","responsibilities":"As a UEFI BIOS Engineer on the DCHWE team, you will:
Design and implement custom features for the UEFI BIOS.
Debug complex firmware issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to bring up the system, validate the platform, and triage issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment.
Expertise in server platform interfaces, including PCIe, I2C/I3C, SPI, PMBus, UART, GPIO, PECI/APML, and Ethernet controllers.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across HW/FW/SW boundaries, with effective collaboration with vendor and hardware teams.
Understanding the system security features, including secure/verified boot, firmware signing, TPM/ROT, SPDM, vulnerability management, and hardening at scale.
Collaborate with BMC and work on platform enablement. Familiarity with RAS concepts (fault management, telemetry, recovery).
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve technical and schedule challenges proactively.
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS in EE/CE/CS, or equivalent industry experience.
6+ yrs as a UEFI BIOS or Firmware Engineer with UEFI BIOS experience
Strong C/C++ programming skills, including scripting in Bash and Python, are essential.
Gain an understanding of the AMI Aptio V and EDK2 development, as well as industry-standard specifications like ACPI, IPMI, PCIe, SMBIOS, and UEFI.
