Job Summary:
Quest Diagnostics is a leading company in the healthcare diagnostics sector, seeking a Manager for Modeling and Analytics. The role involves developing and overseeing operational models and analytics platforms to provide actionable insights across the organization, while collaborating with functional leaders to align on business opportunities and training teams on model use for sustainable results.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to use numbers and equations to analyze, explain, and simplify complex systems and processes throughout the business
• Establish the foundational modeling required to implement actionable AI across business operations
• Create predictive models to forecast impact of changes in volume/equipment/personnel based on actual information
• Works with functional leaders as well as team members to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for modeling to add value.
• Owns a portfolio of initiatives including large scale mathematical modeling projects, data analysis projects, and visuals/dashboard requests.
• Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement, process management, or system thinking (value stream thinking)
• Develop roadmap to leverage AI in data analytics
• Implement automation strategies to improve useability of data
• Implement industry leading practices in data analytics and modeling
• Collaborate across the organization to champion infrastructure and competencies for data analytics
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics and/or mathematical modeling
• 5+ years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or operations environment
• 3+ years of experience in Python, SQL or C++
• BI and Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, Google Sheets.
• Data Tools: Alteryx, Salesforce, Jira, Snowflake.
• Strong expertise with database applications such as MS Access, or other relational databases very desirable.
• Expert knowledge of test codes and methods available is helpful.
• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with others.
• Advanced data analysis skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills across multiple formats: formal presentations, training material development, meetings, conference calls, e-mails, and memos.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of AI models and development fundamentals
• Excellent written and verbal skills, results oriented, and collaborative.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, computer science or mathematics.
