Job description

Internship Overview
As an Investment Analyst Intern at Summit Agricultural Group, you will work closely with an investment team that manages over $5 billion of assets with more than 125 years of combined employee experience. As Summit continues to grow, you will assist with a broad range of activities including business analytics, industry research, financial analysis and presentation preparation for private equity investments. The position will be based at our Alden, Iowa headquarters where we currently manage 17 investment funds with a history of strong returns.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
  • Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Support the team in data related projects and initiatives.
  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to Summit executive team.
  • Collaborate with support departments to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
  • Deliver a final presentation to Summit's management team summarizing experiences, results, and accomplishments from the internship.

Requirements
  • Completed Sophomore or Junior studying Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team while maintaining strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
