Job description

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year DOE

Are you passionate about making a profound impact on the lives of teenage girls facing complex challenges? Do you have a background in psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a related field? If so, New Haven offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for you to join our team as a Clinical Director!

At New Haven, we go beyond the conventional residential treatment model. Located in the tranquil surroundings of Saratoga Springs, Utah, our campus serves as both a treatment center and a nurturing home for adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, and mental health nuances, providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

This position requires full licensure and eligibility to supervise clinicians in Utah.

  • Individual Sessions: Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.
  • Family Sessions: Facilitate family therapy sessions involving students and their parents to foster open communication, resolve family dynamics, and promote healing.
  • Group Therapy Leadership: Lead specialized group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among students, encouraging personal growth and interpersonal skills.
  • Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: Participate in and lead weekly interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Clinical Meetings and Supervision: Engage in regular clinical meetings and supervision sessions with 3-5 clinicians you supervise, contributing to ongoing professional development, sharing insights, and receiving guidance.
  • Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapeutic sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Family Weekend Involvement: Actively participate in family weekends, offering therapeutic support to families, and contributing to the overall healing process.
  • Camping Trips: Organize and lead two-day camping trips twice a year, providing opportunities for experiential learning, building relationships within families, and creating memorable therapeutic experiences.

  • Active, unrestricted Utah licensure authorizing the practice of psychotherapy (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, PhD or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree required; Doctoral degree or doctoral candidacy strongly preferred (Social Work, Psychology, MFT, or related field)
  • Eligible to supervise counseling interns under state guidelines
  • 3+ years of experience in social services or behavioral health, including at least 2 years working with highrisk adolescents (ages 12–18)
  • Proven experience leading clinical teams, programs, or departments
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to make complex, highstakes decisions using multiple data sources
  • Deep knowledge of DSM diagnoses, therapeutic modalities, adolescent development, and family systems

  • Access to an established Mastery Program that offers professional and financial opportunities for professional growth.
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance – Multiple plan options including PPO and HDHPs with HSA eligibility and company contributions.
  • Paid Parental Leave – Up to 6 weeks fully paid for exempt employees and 4 weeks for non-exempt.
  • Life & Disability Coverage – Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability; voluntary life and optional short-term disability available.
  • 401(k) with Company Match – Retirement savings with matching contributions after eligibility period.
  • PTO & Holidays – Competitive PTO accrual plans and paid holidays throughout the year.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Free, confidential support for life’s challenges.
