POSITION: Registered Nurse ER (Adult) SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING =============================== • Shift hours/Contract Length: 7p-7a, 13 weeks • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: Every Other • RTO/Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission • Call off Policy: The client may cancel (call off) up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.  Locals accepted for LPN's REQUIRED LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS ================================ • Pending License Accepted: No, Must have an active New York Single State RN license. (NY is not Compact) • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Please include valid NIHSS in submittal. REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ======================== • IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs); IV vasopressors • CPAP/BiPAP; Ventilator management • CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI • Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias) • Emergency care (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma) • Isolation precautions; Triage; Pediatric spinal cord injury UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING ========================= • Ratios: 1:5; Adults, Geriatrics; All emergency type diagnoses • Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset • Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS =================== The emergency department at Rochester General Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility featuring a centralized layout for rapid patient care, advanced diagnostic technology, a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
