Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations.
Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.
This intern will work with the Aftermarket Solutions team to remanufacture end-of-life or failed semitruck engines and transmissions. They will explore the various parts that make up an engine and how they are maintained/reconstructed to give the customer the highest quality possible. This intern will gain hands on experience by working with operators, technicians, and engineers while trying to improve various manufacturing processes across multiple facilities.   • Develop a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Confer with vendors, staff and management regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/August)
  • Must be part of a Co-Op Internship program through your current college/university and have the ability to start in August/September, 2026
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to read and create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Competency in AutoCAD and NX
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
