We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Director to join our team onsite in our Orlando, FL office. We offer a 9/80 work schedule and foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed.

The candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices, complemented by hands-on expertise in utilizing supply chain management software and tools. They will be strategic thinkers with a proactive approach, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong negotiation and contract management abilities. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to align supply chain activities with business objectives. 

Multi-Site Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Research, vet, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, and reliability to meet organizational needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. 
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to secure favorable conditions and long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, including cost reduction initiatives and market trend analysis.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships to ensure consistent supply and mitigate risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as procurement, logistics, marketing, and manufacturing to forecast needs and align sourcing activities.
  • Risk Management: Assess supplier stability, manage supply chain risks, and implement contingency plans to prevent disruptions.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal procurement guidelines, track budgets, and prepare performance reports.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze supply chain metrics and market trends to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Masters Degree or Professional Certifications (e.g. CPSM, CSCP) are preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in optics, photonics, aerospace, or precision manufacturing strongly preferred

Knowledge, Ability and Skills:

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance data, and cost structures to make informed sourcing decisions.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, supply chain dynamics, and relevant market conditions.
