Patient Transport Driver - Addiction Recovery | Anabranch Recovery Center | Terre Haute, Indiana
About the Job:
The Driver is responsible for coordinating and safely transporting clients to and from facility programming including appointments, activity trips, airport shuttle service and other special events in a punctual and timely manner. Also provides monitoring and reporting of client behaviors, crisis situations, and medical emergencies as needed as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Transports visitors or staff as needed.

What You'll Do
Each day brings purpose and connection as you:
  • Safely transport clients to and from appointments, admissions, discharges, activities, and special events.
  • Ensure all trips are completed punctually and professionally, maintaining constant awareness of client safety and wellbeing.
  • Uphold all safety protocols, ensuring passengers wear seatbelts and vehicles remain secure and compliant.
  • Accurately complete documentation, including transport logs, maintenance reports, and client charting as needed.
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating patience, professionalism, and respect in every interaction.
  • Support the treatment team by assisting during behavioral events when necessary and providing thorough shift briefings.
  • Keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and stocked, reporting any mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
  • Assist with facility errands such as supply pick-ups or deliveries when needed.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in a behavioral health or healthcare setting
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive presence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
