Job description

Join our Team as a Computer Vision Software Engineering Intern!

The Role:

We're seeking a motivated Computer Vision Research Engineering Intern to join our team this summer! This internship offers hands-on experience in computer vision, where you'll work on meaningful projects and gain insight into computer vision algorithm development, deep learning training and inference and software design and implementation. You'll collaborate with the Advanced Research & Development team, as well as mentors and leadership, building skills that will help launch your career!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop algorithms for recognition and identification using computer vision and other software development tools.
  • Create proof of concept modules and systems to validate project and design decisions.
  • Maintain detailed schedules that support overall product schedules and properly communicate status to management
  • Create and update technical documentation, test plans, and test results, analyze results and provide conclusive reports.
  • Work on a team to complete projects with high quality while maintaining schedules
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and software engineers for project development in multiple teams and departments.

What We're Looking For:

  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or equivalent degree program in related field of study
  • Excellent C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Knowledge of TensorFlow or other machine learning platforms.
  • Experience developing algorithms for image processing using OpenCV
  • Fluency with Linux development environments.
  • Advanced research and prototyping experience
  • Demonstrated innovative problem solving and project implementation experience.

What You'll Get in Return:

Wage - $20.00 - $30.00+ per hour. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
