Job description

Mammoth Sports Construction is seeking a versatile and driven Project Architect with a proven track record of leading projects and managing teams. This position will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of architectural projects while ensuring they meet client objectives, timelines, and budgets. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership and project management skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.

JOB LOCATION: Meriden, KS / Kansas City, MO

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the architectural design and project management for a variety of projects, from conceptualization to completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Review and coordinate all aspects of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Supervise and mentor junior architects, designers, and interns, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of permit applications and manage the approval processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, including scope, budget, and timeline estimates.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, address issues, and ensure design intent is maintained throughout the build process.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined in a collaborative studio environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment and prioritize tasks appropriately

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Licensed Architect with 7-10 years of experience in architecture and project management.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture and/or equivalent comparable work experience.
