Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software solutions across the full application lifecycle. Provides technical leadership, mentors team members, and ensures adherence to coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices. Develops scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support organizational goals. Coordinates with stakeholders to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions. Ensures continuous improvement in development processes, system resiliency, and overall service quality. This position will have occasional travel to the home office in Lexington, KY.
Essential Functions
• Leads software development projects from planning and analysis through implementation and maintenance.
• Architects client-server, cloud-based, and web applications leveraging modern frameworks and best practices.
• Develops and supports applications using ASP.NET, C#, PHP (Drupal), and related technologies.
• Designs and optimizes SQL database schemas and integrates APIs for system interoperability.
• Provides technical leadership by mentoring developers, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to standards.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prepare estimates, and align solutions with business needs.
• Ensures application reliability through effective testing, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Participates in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
• Serves as a subject matter expert to guide solution architecture and resolve complex technical issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirement: 7+ years of experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
