Allied Universal is hiring a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator. The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the centralized hub which manages the security and safety issues at our client's facilities. We provide outstanding customer service to all calling parties while being firm following all processes in place to achieve excellent outcomes.

The SOC is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between safety and security departments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Heavy Customer Service Background - we are looking for highly motivated people who are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to our client, our employees, guests and visitors.

Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems.

The ability to efficiently multitask

Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.

Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities.

Make emergency notifications necessary pursuant to policies and procedures.

The ability to monitor and/or utilize multiple software programs at once.

Strictly adhere to policies, procedures, standards, etc., as determined by the client.

Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security/life safety system alarms.

Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies and non-emergency calls.

Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department.

Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed by procedures.

Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 21+ years of age.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Must possess one or more of the following:

Service in Military Branches / Police

Bachelor's degree

2 years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911)

2 years of verifiable data entry experience

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Advanced computer skills and proficiency; proficiency with Google Applications.

Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events & to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take.

Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure.

Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.

Ability to communicate effectively.

The ability to remain calm in the face of adversary/ elevated stressful situations.

Be organized with strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills.

Flexible working schedule to include nights and weekends.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to type 40+ words per minute accurately
