Job description

Security Operations Center Operator

Location: Pittsburgh – Whitehall Area (Onsite)

Schedule: 2nd & 3rd Shifts | Weekends & Holidays Required

Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time

Pay: $16.75 per hour

Position Title

Employees hired into this role will hold the position title of Virtual Coordinator (Onsite) or Retail Coordinator, depending on business needs. This posting uses the title Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to better reflect the day-to-day responsibilities of the position.

Position Overview

Join our 24/7 Security Operations Center and play an important role in helping protect people, businesses, and communities. This is an onsite position where you'll monitor security alarms, assist customers, and communicate with emergency responders when needed.

No prior alarm monitoring experience is required. We provide paid training and certification as a Remote Security Officer.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor security alarms and respond according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with customers, emergency responders, and internal teams to resolve alarm events.
  • Provide professional customer service while handling a high volume of inbound calls.
  • Accurately document activity and navigate multiple computer applications.
  • Assist customers with account inquiries, alarm monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Remain alert, organized, and focused in a fast-paced 24/7 operations environment.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service, call center, dispatch, or data entry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, computer, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound problem-solving abilities.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Experience with alarm monitoring, access control, or security systems is a plus, but not required.
