Familiarity with industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD or MATLAB) and secure data handling protocols is typically required. What is an Internship Security Clearance Engineering position?

An Internship Security Clearance Engineering position is an entry-level engineering role, typically for students or recent graduates, that requires the intern to obtain or already possess a security clearance. These internships are often with government agencies or defense contractors, where interns work on projects involving sensitive or classified information. The work may involve disciplines like electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering. Obtaining a security clearance involves a background check and assessment to ensure the intern can be trusted with confidential data. This experience can be valuable for students interested in a career in national security or defense industries.
