Title:
Engineer KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical role - protecting our national security. Why Join Us? * Innovative Projects: Subcontractor to Raytheon working with the Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missile (AMRAAM).
* Collaborative Environment: We are a small group of engineers that perform data analysis as well as system analysis tools.
* Impactful Work: Our primary concern is helping Raytheon provide a reliable weapon system for the warfighter. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for analysis and reporting of overall system performance of Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) Flight Tests which also involves the planning and execution phases of flight and ground tests.
* Apply engineering knowledge and specialized technical training to the system performance evaluation of the AMRAAM missile to include all phases of flight from pre-launch to intercept and includes all subsystems of the missile: aircraft interface and data link, power, propulsion, inertial navigation system, guidance, autopilot, radar and seeker, automated data processing, and fuzing.
* Write, report, and advise on hardware and software anomalies observed during flight test analysis for use to highlight areas for future development.
* Perform anomaly investigations and comparative analysis, as required.
* Understand the application of computer tools and analysis aids necessary for full analysis and reporting. Work Environment: * Location: 960 John Sims Parkway, Niceville, Florida * Travel Requirements: This position will require travel of 25% with potential surge to 50% to support end users located at various DoD ranges & labs located across the US as well as some foreign travel. Required Qualifications: * The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
* Engineering degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
* Familiarity with Excel and Access Query building Desired Qualifications: * Programming ability is highly desired (C/C++ and Matlab)
* Familiarity with Linux command line and scripting
