This position is 100% onsite and reports to our Syracuse office with regional travel to client job sites.

Job Summary:

As an Installation Technician, you will play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets by installing, testing, and servicing advanced security and life safety systems. These include intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, intercom, mobile surveillance trailers, and weapons detection systems. Salary Range
$25 per hour - $40 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to residential and commercial customer locations in the Syracuse area and surrounding regions to perform installations and service work
  • Run wiring, mount devices, and install a variety of systems, including intrusion alarms, fire alarms, video surveillance, access control, and intercom systems
  • Ensure every installation meets high-quality standards through thorough testing and calibration
  • Talk over, upgrade, or seamlessly integrate with existing security systems
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by offering clear explanations, troubleshooting issues, and occasionally providing training on how to use their systems effectively
  • Set up mobile and desktop applications for system monitoring and management

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Comfortable working outdoors – occasionally in the rain or snow
  • Comfortable working from heights on ladders or aerial lifts, or in small spaces
  • Self-motivated to learn new technology
  • Must maintain a clean, professional image with external and internal customers
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work overtime as required and participate in on-call schedule after six months
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess and maintain a clear driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year Associate Degree
  • Previous alarm installation and service experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
