Job description

Location: Records and Advisement
Hours: Full-Time, Hourly
Pay: $18.83 - $25.31
Job Summary
The Registration Specialist manages student registration processes and serves as a key point of contact for the Records and Advisement office.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Registration management - Processing adds, drops, and withdrawals in the student information system; resolving registration issues; and determining student eligibility for registration clearance, under the supervision of the Director of Records.
  • Communication - Responding to registration questions from faculty, staff, and students, and handling front-desk and phone traffic.
  • Special populations - Building class sections for internships, practicums, and co-ops.
  • Student worker oversight - Serving as the main point of contact for student workers, including scheduling, training, and task assignment.
  • Records/graduation support - Verifying graduate addresses and mailing diplomas.
  • Technology & compliance - Maintaining proficiency in the student information system, recommending process improvements, and ensuring FERPA/data-privacy compliance.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of student records in accordance with FERPA and university data-privacy policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Records and Advisement.

Qualifications
Associate's degree (or 5+ years equivalent experience); student information system experience preferred; strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with a student
Special Requirement
Must have a strong commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church; must be a member of the SDA Church in regular standing.
Typical Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment (computers, scanners, printers, telephone). Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Working Conditions
Essential tasks are performed under normal office/school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort. Work area is well-lighted and ventilated.
