Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to operations by leading troubleshooting efforts for sophisticated systems, including PLCs, Vision Systems, Robots, Servers, and HMIs.
  • Spearhead and oversee complex code and program modifications for advanced control systems, ensuring optimal performance and system integration.
  • Plans and executes moderately complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.
  • Identifies, plans and executes complex change control projects requiring conceptual evaluation, design and validation.
  • Identifies, plans and executes complex qualification of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.
  • Identifies and implements standard methodologies of project management.
  • Participates in technical design reviews for machine requirements and manufacturing/product specifications.
  • Performs concept analysis of capital projects for future project development.
  • Provides training and support to Operations Engineers and Technicians to operate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues (Audit Actions, NCR's, CAPA's, etc).
  • Utilizes cross functional collaboration with safety, quality, and operations to meet business objectives.
  • Provides mentoring and technical guidance to interns and/or co-ops.
  • Displays technical depth and influence within functional team.
  • Serves as a change agent by creating a learning culture and experimental mindset within the department and organization to improve business performance.

Qualifications
Education:
  • University/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Experience and Skills:
Required:
  • 4 to 6 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
  • Ability to work in an empowered work team environment is required.
  • Demonstrate extensive expertise and strategic insight into industrial control systems, such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens, including the ability to design and implement new solutions.
  • Exhibit advanced proficiency in a range of applications, including FactoryTalk, Wonderware, AB Studio 5000, Power BI, and Ignition, with a focus on maximizing their utility for operational excellence.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of industrial programming languages, including Ladder Logic, Python, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram, to drive innovation and efficiency in programming practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex code modifications for industrial control systems with minimal oversight, leveraging advanced programming skills to enhance system functionality and reliability.
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems and circuits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, while implementing innovative solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to assess and mitigate electrical hazards through the application of safety engineering principles, conducting thorough risk assessments, and developing comprehensive safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
