Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care Center

Overview

Salary Range $31.72 - $46.43 Hourly Position Type 64 Hours Biweekly Category Nursing - Clinic

Description

The Registered Nurse - Wound Care Center demonstrates authority, responsibility, and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of wound and ostomy care. The Wound Care RN acts as a resource consultant, and provides direct patient care and education as it may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop treatment plan according to current wound care protocols; explain dressing rationale, institute preventive measures and monitor results of care delivered;
  • Advise physicians on status of wound patients
  • Identify patients requiring debridement procedures and alert attending physician
  • Identify nutritional deficiencies, coordinate with Health Care personnel to solve nutrition problems and report results to respective supervisors
  • Ensure adequate materials are on hand for every patient
  • Attend wound care education programs designed to enhance the benefits patients can derive from the most recent techniques/procedures available

Hours/Shifts 64 hours biweekly, day shifts

Compensation Hourly Wage Range: $31.72 - $46.43. BSN hires add $1/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

  1. Education/Special Skills: Must be a registered nurse. Preferred wound care experience. Must be willing to obtain wound care certification after hire.

  3. Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.
