2027 Platform Data Management Internship Program


This summer, Peloton will be hosting ourSummer 2027 Platform Data Management Internship Program.The purpose of the internship program is to provide students with a basic foundation of the oil and gas industry, and the role that data management technology and applications play in the process through initial industry and working closely with team through a mentorship program focused on Well Data Lifecycle or Production Data Lifecycle solutions product-lines.We are confident that this will be a rewarding and educational experience in engineering students' field of study.


About the program:

  • Start date: Tuesday, May 25, 2027
  • End date: Friday, August 6, 2027


As aPeloton Data Management Intern, our interns:

  • Become acquainted with Peloton product-lines through initial training prior to beginning core focus on a mentorship program within Peloton's Well Data Lifecycle or Production Data Lifecycle solutions teams.
  • Manage input and consolidation of operator's data
  • Develop an understanding of certain strategic business applications, processes and database management systems (DBMS) used by oil and gas operators
  • Gain insight on industry practices in the field with visit(s) to operator work sites*
  • Gain exposure to real-life business and oil & gas industry practices by working alongside Peloton's implementation teams and attending meetings with Product Managers and executives
  • Are presented with opportunities to network with multinational operator engineers to review and consult on their data
  • Become familiar with oil and gas field terminology, and decision and risk analysis concepts by participating in industry courses and on the job training


*Note that while we strive for at least 1 field site visit trip annually with Peloton's summer interns, the trips are subject toavailability and other conditions


Qualifications:

  • Interns must have completed their first year of Engineering course work and are entering into their second or third year of Engineering (preferably focused on Petroleum Engineering or related field) with an interest in pursuing a career in oil & gas.
  • Interns are responsible for providing their own housing for the duration of the internship. Relocation, housing, and travel cost assistance will not be provided by Peloton.
