Communications Assistant - RNC Communications Department

About the Role

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is seeking highly motivated applicants for an Executive Assistant for its Communications Department. The RNC Communications Department is a dynamic team that promotes the policies of the Republican Party through local and national media. The Executive Assistant role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of political communications alongside dedicated professionals shaping the future of Republican messaging. The ideal candidate is passionate about Republican values, has a strong interest in conservative communications, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Communications Director and senior staff, including scheduling, meeting preparation, and managing travel.
  • Drafting, editing, and organizing communications materials as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects, events, and initiatives to advance the RNC’s messaging and goals.
  • Organize and coordinate logistical events with other RNC departments.
  • Oversee and mentor department interns, managing their time and fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionally handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
