You will have access to a climate-controlled office space as needed for meetings and collaboration. The role involves coordinated interaction with healthcare providers, including nurses, doctors, and fellow social workers, to ensure aligned patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients as needed, utilizing diagnostic tools such as the DSM-5 to inform an individualized care plan.
  • Conduct continual assessments of patient progress and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to support their mental health needs.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, accommodating specific cultural and individual needs to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain all required documentation, including treatment records and reports, in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards using electronic health record systems.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and other healthcare providers, facilitating seamless communication and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and various treatment resources, ensuring patients have access to necessary services.
  • Mentor students, interns, and volunteers, sharing your expertise while also contributing to the development of new clinicians in the field.
  • Engage in peer reviews and clinical collaborations, enhancing team dynamics and professional development opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological challenges connected to cancer diagnoses and other serious illnesses. You will be responsible for creating a safe and trusting environment where patients feel valued and heard while developing tailored strategies that promote healing and resilience.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a solid understanding of cultural competencies within mental health.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include a comprehensive health insurance package, generous paid time off, retirement plans, and a sign-on bonus upon successful hiring.
