Job Description:
Join us as a Legal Assistant and play a key role in helping attorneys stay organized, informed, and focused on delivering outstanding legal services. In this position, you will oversee workflows, monitor communications, coordinate projects, and ensure critical tasks and deadlines are completed accurately and on time. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, and legal support staff to keep matters moving forward while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and professionalism. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive, highly organized professional who enjoys taking ownership of responsibilities, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a collaborative legal environment. Your work will have a direct impact on attorney efficiency, client satisfaction, and the successful completion of legal matters
  • Monthly Compensation Range: from $1,150 to $1,220 USD.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support attorneys with franchise secondary reviews, document preparation, proofreading, and quality control tasks.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients regarding document requests, scheduling, filing requirements, and project updates.
  • Coordinate projects across attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and clients to ensure efficient workflow progression.
  • Assist attorneys with trademark filing logistics and docket management activities.
  • Communicate with clients regarding trademark renewals, filing requirements, declarations, specimens, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare weekly status reports covering active matters, deadlines, outstanding assignments, and attorney priorities.
  • Track action items, assignments, deadlines, and follow up requirements to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Maintain and update task management systems with accurate status tracking and matter information.
  • Prepare daily summaries of outstanding assignments, priorities, deadlines, and pending follow ups for attorneys.
  • Monitor assigned attorney email accounts throughout the business day and identify matters requiring attention.
  • Identify potential issues proactively and help resolve them before they impact workflows or client service.
  • Ensure deadlines are consistently monitored and met across multiple matters and projects.
  • Conduct administrative and organizational activities that improve operational efficiency and client service.
  • Coordinate trademark prosecution workflows, including monitoring applications, office actions, maintenance deadlines, and renewals.

Experience Required:
• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in business law, corporate law, transactions, or related legal fields.
• Experience with or strong familiarity with U.S. trademark filings and USPTO processes preferred.
• Exposure to franchise law or regulatory compliance is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn new legal concepts and procedures.
