This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility to professionally engage with clients through telehealth platforms. Our work facility, a Detox Center, serves clients as they navigate the complexities of detoxification and begin their journey toward recovery. • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate clients’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning with an emphasis on substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing.
• Provide individual, couple, and group psychotherapy services, helping clients address a wide range of mental health issues that may arise during recovery.
• Administer and interpret psychological tests and assessments, which aid in the accurate diagnosis of mental health conditions and inform treatment planning.
• Collaborate actively with a diverse team of mental health professionals—psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, and counselors—to ensure integrated care and support for clients.
• Offer crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and facilitating appropriate referrals when needed.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of psychological assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with ongoing research and advancements in the field of psychology to continuously refine clinical skills and therapeutic approaches.
• Supervise and mentor psychology interns and doctoral students when relevant, enriching their educational experiences while enhancing team dynamics.
• Participate in case conferences and professional development activities, fostering a culture of learning and teamwork across our organization.

The primary clientele at our Detox Center consists of individuals grappling with substance use disorders, who often have co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Our approach emphasizes understanding the unique aspects of each client's situation and working diligently to support their journey toward recovery.

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a psychologist in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or treatment setting, particularly with substance use disorders.
• Thorough understanding of psychological theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Proficient in administering psychological assessments and diagnosing mental health conditions accurately.
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy across diverse populations, utilizing various therapeutic frameworks.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective rapport-building with clients.
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Experience working in a detoxification or addiction recovery environment.
• Familiarity with telehealth services and digital therapeutic platforms.
• Additional training or certifications in addiction treatment modalities.
• Experience in providing crisis intervention services.
