The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your platform engineering expertise in a high impact role? Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join the team. You'll help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available cloud, managed hosting, and developer platform.
You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, translating business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions. You'll be responsible for working with a security and compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams.
You'll use your expertise in DoW impact levels and classifications, AWS cloud, cloud and network security, Containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. You'll use excellent communication skills, work independently while leading others, and work across development teams in a fast-paced and agile environment.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience with DevOps for Containerized or Kubernetes production systems
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation
  • 5+ years of experience with IaC, including Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible
  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
  • 4+ years of experience with cloud or network security architecture
  • Experience with the DoW, including within cloud architecture, cluster management, security, or networking
  • Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic and static code analysis, and hardened AMIs and Container Images
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoW 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience promoting solutions into higher classification environments
  • Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
  • Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
  • Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
  • Experience with cloud-native servers, multiple cloud service providers (CSP), Kubernetes platforms, and container registries
  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Associate-level Cloud Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
