The ideal candidate will have a robust background in mental health counseling, demonstrated through at least five years of professional experience, and must hold a valid mental health license.

About the Organization

Sabella Psychiatric Center is committed to improving the mental health of individuals in Sammamish, Washington. Our center emphasizes patient-centered care and integrates clinical excellence with a compassionate approach. We leverage evidence-based practices to deliver comprehensive mental health services tailored to each patientโ€™s unique needs, ensuring a supportive environment conducive to recovery and personal growth.

Work Environment

This position is designed for remote work, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while still remaining an integral part of our community health clinic team. You will connect with patients via secure telehealth platforms, facilitating ongoing engagement and support. Collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, ensures a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to understand patient needs thoroughly.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health challenges, ensuring patients receive appropriate levels of care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and statistical reporting of patient progress, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
  • Foster collaboration with correctional services and other institutional programs to provide patients access to necessary mental health services.
  • Lead group therapy sessions for patients dealing with various mental health issues, encouraging open discussion and support among participants.
  • Engage in weekly clinical supervision with your designated Clinical Supervisor to discuss cases, enhance skills, and provide mentorship to interns and volunteers.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary case conferences, treatment planning sessions, and institution-wide rounds to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Occasionally conduct psychological testing as directed, integrating findings into comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assist with training and supervision of social work interns and student volunteers to foster their professional development.
  • Perform additional tasks as designated by the Unit Chief or Clinical Supervisor, adapting to the evolving needs of the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves incarcerated individuals, individuals with behavioral health issues, history of substance use, and severe mental illnesses. As a licensed counselor, you will play a vital role in delivering assessments and treatment tailored to this unique and often underserved group. Your expertise will significantly impact their mental health stability and overall rehabilitation process.

Qualifications
  • A valid LICENSE in Clinical Social Work (LICSW), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of post-masterโ€™s full-time, paid experience directly providing client care in a behavioral health setting, contributing to a strong foundation for patient engagement.
  • Three additional years of experience post-licensure, showcasing your growth as an experienced professional in the mental health field.
Preferred Experience
  • Preference will be given to applicants who possess substantial experience in conducting comprehensive assessments and treatment for individuals with complex behavioral problems.
  • Experience in an inpatient treatment facility or similar settings will strengthen your candidacy, as it illustrates your capability to operate within challenging environments.
  • Proficiency in using telehealth technologies for performing virtual therapy sessions is advantageous, especially during these times when remote services are increasingly essential.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Alongside a competitive salary, our benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan options, generous paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
