Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, incorporating insights from medical histories to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific psychiatric and medical needs of each patient.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to the challenges faced by your patients.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute mental health challenges, ensuring immediate support and safety.
  • Educate patients on the link between mental and physical health, empowering them with strategies for managing their conditions.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in alignment with legal and ethical standards of practice.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and continuous education to enhance service delivery.
  • Stay informed about advancements in integrated care and mental health treatment protocols to ensure best practices are implemented.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with co-occurring medical and psychiatric disorders. This includes individuals suffering from chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues. The goal is to provide them with compassionate and informed care that addresses their unique intersection of health challenges.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Tennessee.
  • Strong foundation in addressing mental health complexities in individuals with comorbid medical conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills conducive to building trust with patients.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant healthcare technology.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, specifically working with integrated care approaches.
  • Prior involvement in collaborative treatment planning alongside medical professionals is highly beneficial.
