• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs, developing individualized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices and cultural competency.
• Consult with and counsel patients on various mental health programs available in the community, including services for schools and incarcerated populations, ensuring they have access to necessary resources.
• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate referrals, connecting clients with appropriate community resources based on assessed needs, such as group therapy or substance use programs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mental health challenges and treatment options while promoting adherence to medical and behavioral health recommendations.
• Assist families and related personnel in developing improved communication and resource utilization strategies related to mental health, fostering a supportive environment for clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on the latest trends and techniques in the mental health field.

The Counselor will work primarily with a diverse client population, which may include individuals from different cultural backgrounds, ages, and mental health conditions. This may involve facilitating support for clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and domestic violence issues. Our clinic focuses on creating a welcoming and understanding atmosphere to encourage open dialogue and recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling services is required, demonstrating your capability and confidence in therapeutic settings.
• A solid understanding of psychological theories regarding individual differences, human motivation, and abnormal behavior, with a keen awareness of interview techniques.
• Familiarity with current trends in the mental health landscape is essential for effectively meeting client needs.
