As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to evaluate the emotional, mental, and social needs of patients.
• Developing personalized treatment plans using evidence-based and solution-focused interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to support mental health treatment goals.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to provide coordinated patient care.
• Engaging in regular case consults and peer reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of care practices.
• Providing education and resources to patients and their families about mental health treatment options and community support services.
• Staying informed of current research, regulatory changes, and advancements in the mental health field to enhance clinical practice.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals in hospice care, experiencing a range of emotional challenges associated with terminal illness and end-of-life issues. Understanding the profound nature of this patient demographic, you will utilize a compassionate and supportive approach to facilitate coping strategies for both patients and their families.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychotherapy services in a clinical setting, particularly within hospice and palliative care environments.
• Familiarity with solution-oriented therapy techniques and a commitment to ongoing education in mental health practices.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically in challenging situations.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
