This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital therapeutic services to children and families facing various challenges. We are particularly interested in candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, enhancing our ability to support diverse communities.

About the Organization

Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic is committed to improving the lives of children and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities. All therapists are equipped with tools necessary for secure virtual engagements, ensuring that each treatment session is conducted with the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Our outpatient clinic setting fosters a collaborative culture, encouraging regular interaction with colleagues and engagement in team meetings, even from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster positive behavioral changes by teaching critical skills such as anger management, coping strategies, and social interactions necessary for reducing high-risk behaviors.
  • Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to formulate and implement effective treatment plans, thus ensuring an integrated approach to therapy.
  • Document all relevant information, including treatment plans, progress notes, and intake assessments, adhering to specified timelines for record-keeping.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance service delivery and therapeutic outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing therapeutic services to children aged 3-20 who are grappling with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The therapists will engage with a diverse population, ensuring that each child's familial context is respected and integrated into the treatment. By addressing their specific needs, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing their overall decision-making and behavioral skills, ultimately supporting their social and emotional development.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly, specifically during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some flexibility for weekend sessions.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home assessments.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies within family dynamics.
  • Previous work with children and adolescents living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, allowing for more effective engagement and intervention.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic offers an extensive benefits package, which includes:

  • Group health insurance coverage, ensuring comprehensive medical care.
