SUMMARY

The subassembly and systems portfolio are customized products produced in partnership with key instrument manufacturers in Life Science markets. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our subassembly and systems hardware products- from earlystage ideation through development, launch, commercial growth, maturity management, and endoflife planning. This role requires a strategic, commercially minded leader who can translate customer needs and technical insights into a clear product. It will require close collaboration with the other Product Managers on the team to develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of instrument developers in analytical scientific equipment space.

As the central point of accountability for product strategy, roadmap prioritization, pricing, and portfolio optimization, the Senior Product Manager will work crossfunctionally with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, and other partners to ensure product success. Responsibilities include market analysis, strong customer advocacy, business case development and ongoing product performance evaluation to guide decisions to ensure our customers have a successful product launch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

• Own the full product lifecycle for the subassemblies and systems hardware portfolio, including roadmap, requirement definition, prioritization, and execution of key growth and optimization initiatives.
• Strong partnership with customers developing their new-to-launch platforms to ensure requirements and timeline are properly met. Lifecycle support for on market system solutions.
• Lead crossfunctional collaboration with Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance on all New Product Development (NPD) efforts, including early concept exploration, business case creation, value proposition development, pricing strategy, and commercialization planning.
• Conduct rigorous VoiceofCustomer (VOC) research, market needs analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities, define product requirements, and inform strategic decisions.
• Analyze market landscapes and competitive offerings to guide positioning, differentiation, and longterm product strategy.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute gotomarket plans for market based solutions, including launch strategies, sales tools, training materials, and promotional content that effectively support adoption and growth.
• Monitor and report product performance across key metrics-including revenue, margin, price realization, forecast accuracy, quality indicators, and customer satisfaction-and recommend actions to improve results.
• Create, maintain, and update product documentation, including product proposals for new opportunities, datasheets, application notes, user guides, and technical collateral.
• Provide pre and postsales support in collaboration with Applications, Sales, and Customer Service teams, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and a positive customer experience.
• Lead annual pricing and portfolio review processes, including segmentation, 80/20 analysis, SKU rationalization, and pricing strategy updates to support sustained profitable growth.
• Develop a deep understanding of competitor strategies, technologies, and roadmap directions to proactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities.
• Ensure prompt, transparent communication and followthrough on requests and escalations from Operations, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain clear, timely project and portfolio documentation, including status updates, decision logs, risks, assumptions, and crossfunctional communication records.
• Drive alignment across teams by facilitating discussions, clarifying ambiguous inputs, resolving conflicts, and ensuring the right decisions are made and documented. Partner closely with peers on their portfolios to ensure proper strategy for system integration.
• Champion customer advocacy and product quality, consistently representing customer needs within the organization and ensuring product changes, improvements, or endoflife activities reflect market expectations.
• Support strategic planning activities, contributing insights on market trends, customer needs, technology shifts, and portfolio evolution to shape longterm product direction.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering, sciences)
• 4+ years of product management experience including a product launch. Additional experience in technical sales, applications and/or engineering a plus.
• Preference for candidates with experience in life science fields such as genomics, chromatography, mass spectrometry, bioprocessing, spatial biology.
• Prior experience in Product Management of a physical product

QUALIFICATIONS

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); ability to quickly learn and navigate the company's ERP system to track productlevel details.
• Experience in product development or related functions such as sales, marketing, applications engineering, or operations; crossfunctional exposure is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and followthrough.
• Robust analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend actions.
• Technical aptitude and willingness to become a subjectmatter expert on company products, applications, and markets.
• Ability to research and develop datadriven business cases for new products, applications, and portfolio decisions.
• Collaborative working style, demonstrating effectiveness in team environments and in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including customer visits, conferences, vendor meetings, or internal site visits.

Total Rewards:

The compensation target for this position is $150,000 depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.
