About the Opportunity
Parabit Systems is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven recent graduate Business Developer to help us develop new customer relationships, expand into key markets, and grow new business opportunities.
This is a strong opportunity for a motivated sales, business development, account management, customer-facing professional who wants to learn about our technical infrastructure products and solutions line, engineering services and grow with an established global technology company.
We've developed several online and onsite session training programs to setup the right candidate for great success. Parabit is positioned as a major supplier of infrastructure tech to the financial and transportation industries we also are growing rapidly within the security integration and public furniture space markets. Retail, education, government and event space industries are rapid growth industries for us as well, Experience with access control, surveillance systems, kiosks, digital signage, self-service technology, or customer experience solutions is helpful, but not required. Having experience within any of other industry verticals is also a plus. The right candidate will be professional, relationship centric, persistent, organized, coachable, comfortable with the great challenge of cold prospecting, and a general willingness to learn every day about Parabit's amazing services, products, solutions, customers, and industries. Parabit does not lose customers, we maintain lifelong customer relationships.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary (or draw): $50,000 and $65,000 annually, plus commission.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000-$110,000+, combining base salary and commissions/bonuses. Often structured as a 70/30 or 60/40 split between salary and incentive compensation.
  • Commission Potential: Typically, $10,000-$35,000 in the first year if quota is achieved.

You enjoy building relationships, creating opportunities, and helping customers solve problems.
You are comfortable reaching out to prospects, asking questions, scheduling meetings, following up on all external and internal client project requests timely and consistently, and working with internal teams to move opportunities forward.
You do not need to be a technical expert on day one. Parabit will provide training on our products, solutions, industries, partners and customers. We start your training on one product or solution lines and once your approaching confidence in the product/solution lines knowledge, we'll expand your training to other product and solutions lines based upon your adaption rates to be successfully trained and successful with your prospect and client discussions. The right candidate will be curious, accountable, professional, and motivated to grow into a technical solution sales role.
You should be comfortable using phone calls, email, LinkedIn, video meetings, in-person meetings, trade shows, and presentations to develop relationships and generate new business opportunities.
What You'll Do with Our Support and Your Experience
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with end users, channel partners, technology partners, integrators, and strategic accounts.
  • Schedule and participate in phone calls, video meetings, in-person meetings, presentations, site visits, and trade shows.
  • Work with Parabit's sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop outreach strategies, presentations, proposals, product information, and customer-specific solutions.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities through consistent prospecting, follow-up, CRM updates, and relationship development.
  • Learn Parabit's products, solutions, markets, customers, partners and value proposition so you can confidently introduce our services, products and solutions to prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to understand customer needs, define solution requirements, and support proposal development.
  • Develop and execute a personal business development plan focused on new accounts, target markets, relationship building, and pipeline growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on outreach activity, opportunities, next steps, expected timing, and customer feedback.
  • Stay informed on customer needs, market activity, competition, and industry trends.
  • Represent Parabit professionally with customers, prospects, partners, trade organizations, and industry contacts.
  • Support lead generation, strategic planning, sales presentations, site visits, trade show follow-up, and ongoing relationship development.
  • Promote and uphold Parabit's culture, values, reputation, a customer focus, and commitment to quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

You will not be expected to sell alone.
Parabit provides product training, industry training, technical sales support, marketing support, proposal assistance, presentation materials, product collateral, videos, email campaign support, social media support, and access to experienced team members who can help develop solutions for new prospects and customers.
The goal is to combine your relationship-building ability, sales discipline, and follow-up skills with Parabit's technical, marketing, product, and customer support.
What You'll Need
  • 2+ years of sales, business development, account management, customer relationship development, lead generation, customer service, recruiting, commercial product, solution or services, or another customer-facing business role preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, follow-up, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to learn and explain technical products, solutions and services clearly with support from Parabit's sales support and technical teams.
  • Comfort with prospecting, scheduling meetings, speaking with decision makers, and developing new customer relationships.
  • Professional, positive, persistent, accountable, and maintain a self-motivated approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with sales, marketing, technical, and management teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, follow up consistently, keep accurate CRM records and manage your scheduled CRM follow ups.
  • Provide monthly updates on all pending proposals, price budget estimates and prospects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, CRM tools, and basic reporting.
  • Ability to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, networking events, and industry events as needed.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience in access control, surveillance systems, systems integration, kiosks, digital signage, self-service technology, is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience with technical sales, solution selling, channel partners, integrators, end-user account development, or commercial project sales is a plus.
  • An existing network in one or more of our target markets is helpful, but not required.
