Job description

Overview

As an Associate Reality Capture Specialist, you will support end-to-end 3D documentation from on-site data collection through point cloud deliverables. You will work with the project team to capture, organize, and QA data, support processing, and deliver a strong client experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand project scope, objectives, and site constraints
  • Prepare travel and equipment; arrive on-site ready to execute
  • Participate in client walkthroughs to confirm scope, access, and conditions
  • Capture scan, photo, and video data to meet scope and quality standards
  • Organize, document, and transfer datasets to ensure completeness and traceability
  • Support registration, QA/QC, and basic post-processing
  • Coordinate with the team and provide professional on-site client support

Position Requirements

  • Education Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Geomatics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience 0–3 years of experience with survey equipment (TLS or SLAM) a plus Internship and hands-on field experience are a plus

Travel

  • 75%+ travel required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage time across travel and field work
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and technical workflows
  • Clear, professional communication with clients and internal teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with IVION and Prevu3D a plus
  • Familiarity with FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, or similar tools; basic LiDAR/coordinate system concepts
