Job description

Position Summary

The Production Intern supports the Production team by performing daily tasks that ultimately serve the company’s operations, build, and sales teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Production team to respond to requests and update documentation accurately and timely
  • Assists in uploading house plans to digital storage system
  • Assist in creating and maintaining house plans, as needed
  • Assists operations and design activities as needed
  • Ensure information is filed and stored correctly
  • Participates in preconstruction meetings and audit reviews
  • Reviews truss designs, structural layouts, and related plan elements for accuracy and alignment with approved drawings
  • Assist in compiling and sending building permits, as needed
  • Supports build and sales teams in the field as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in the use of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn and utilize new software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
  • Prolonged periods of sitting required
  • Rarely required to walk, stand, lift, climb, pull, or push objects weighing up to 10 pounds
