About the position:

If you're curious about a career in finance or banking and would like to gain more professional experience, an ING internship is your opportunity. During this 10-week summer internship program, you will gain a basic understanding of the wholesale banking business with a "hands-on" approach, participating in exciting projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Sectors professionals in the origination, structuring, and execution of new financing solutions.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: researching and producing industry & market analyses, assisting in preparing pitches and presentations, contributing to the execution of internal memos, reviewing financial projections and sensitivities analyses, reviewing due diligence materials, managing the onboarding of new clients, and preparing ad-hoc/general research assignments.
  • You will have the opportunity to liaise with other product specialists and departments within the Wholesale Bank, including risk management, syndications, financial markets, capital markets, and transaction services when necessary.

Profile (What we're looking for)
Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with an expected graduation date Spring 2028
Experience / Knowledge:
  • Prior internship and/or relevant financial experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of key financial markets and products
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
  • Financial modeling and credit writing exposure is helpful.
  • VBA and/or programming skill are a plus.
