Emergency Veterinarian Overnight
Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital (WVRH) in West Bridgewater, MA, is expanding its Emergency and Critical Care services and returning to 24/7 coverage. We're looking for internship-trained or experienced emergency veterinarians who enjoy working consistent overnight shifts and have an interest in emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who not only thrives in an overnight setting, but who is friendly, collaborative, compassionate, and dedicated to patients and their owners.
As we expand to full 24/7 coverage, we are offering an overnight-only position with a predictable and consistent schedule. If you want more control over your time and better work-life balance, we encourage you to apply and share your preferred schedule!
Schedule and Compensation
Want full-time status with more time off and the option to earn extra? At WVRH, 9 shifts per 4 weeks equals a full-time schedule with benefits, with options to pick up additional shifts for higher income. Shifts run from either 5 PM or 7 PM until 8 AM.
Full Time:
  • 9 shifts per 4 weeks - $180K

  • 10 shifts per 4 weeks - $200K

  • 12 shifts per 4 weeks - $220K

Leading our team is Medical Director, Dr. Jolene Babyak, MS, MS, DVM, DACVECC. As a Tufts alum, boarded Criticalist, and experienced hospital leader, she has dedicated her career to advancing veterinary medicine in New England. We are excited to expand our ECC department under her leadership!
Our emergency doctors manage receiving and inpatient care, with opportunities to take on soft tissue surgery cases. You'll also work alongside our in-house specialty surgeons, Dr. Trey Townsend and Dr. Lindsey Lavin, as well as our new Internist, Dr. Juliana Picard. In addition, you'll have opportunities to collaborate with a broad network of specialists across Ethos.
We have a friendly, well-trained support team, including several credentialed technicians. Jaime Maher, CVT, VTS (ECC, Anesthesia), leads our technician development as our Technician Training Manager. Our Hospital Director, Rebecca Schmitt, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, helps drive our strong culture of wellness and work-life balance.

Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital is a modern facility spanning over 14,000 square feet, designed to maximize patient care while providing our team with the tools, space, and technology needed to deliver high-quality veterinary medicine in a teaching and learning environment.
