Dairy General Laborer (Seasonal, Full-Time)
On-Site | North Smithfield, RI | $17–$19 per Hour

What You'll DoMilk Handling amp; Production
  • Move, handle, and restock milk containers, crates, and wagons
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, dating, and capping dairy products
  • Support daily production activities to meet customer demand
  • Monitor equipment and report any operational concerns
Equipment Operation amp; Sanitation
  • Set up, operate, and clean dairy production equipment
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Assist with equipment changeovers and production setup
  • Help maintain food safety and quality standards
Facility amp; Cooler Maintenance
  • Maintain clean and organized coolers, storage areas, and production spaces
  • Follow sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Store and handle products according to established procedures
Teamwork amp; Communication
  • Work closely with production team members to meet daily goals
  • Communicate operational issues and production needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow
  • Report quality or safety concerns immediately
What We're Looking For

  • Prior dairy, warehouse, manufacturing, food production, or agricultural experience is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements

This is an active, physically demanding position. Candidates must be able to:

  • Lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly
  • Push and pull milk wagons weighing 200–700 pounds with assistance
  • Stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Work in cold, wet, and fast-paced production environments
  • Safely operate around production equipment and machinery
Schedule
  • Full-Time (40 hours per week)
  • Early morning start times (typically between 5:00–6:00 AM)
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Weekend and holiday work required during peak production periods
