Job description

ColonialWebb is seeking problem solvers motivated to develop their career in construction project management. Our Project Engineers support some of the most the most complex commercial mechanical construction projects throughout Central Virginia. On our team, the Project Engineers are responsible for maintaining our standards of excellence and delivering projects they are proud of!

A day in the life:
  • You will provide engineering and business support onsite for commercial construction projects
  • Provide technical engineering information to project managers and field management as required ensuring work performed onsite meets design and quality standards
  • Manage, develop and submit RFI's, O&M manuals and other project documents
  • Schedule equipment and material while coordinating with vendors
  • Coordinate with customers and subcontractors to maintain project schedules

You should have:
  • Construction project engineering, project management or internship experience working for a commercial mechanical or building construction contractor, is preferred not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Engineering Management (Other applicable engineering degrees may be acceptable)
  • Possess sharp analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization (i.e. owners, GC',s, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, drafters, and field trades)
  • High Mechanical aptitude and interest in building construction
