Over the course of 10-12 weeks, as a maintenance Intern, you'll work in our Mount Olive food manufacturing plant, located in Mount Olive, North Carolina. You’ll dive into daily plant operations, tackle industry challenges, and contribute to process improvements. The maintenance team provides a mechanical support service in response to operational changes resulting from malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modification of existing mechanical systems and/or equipment.

The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that align with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.

· Master the ins and outs of food production equipment.

· Collaborate with teams to optimize processes.

· Work in accordance with quality, safety, sanitation standards, quality polices and guidelines.

· Develop your leadership skills by communicating with all levels in the organization.

You'll need to be a team player, ready to roll up your sleeves and get things done. Think you have what it takes to make a delicious difference?

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering Engineering, Technology (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial), Maintenance Management or Facilities Management or a related field with an expected graduation date of December 2026 through June 2027.
  • Have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
  • Open to relocating to Mount Olive, North Carolina if not in the area.
  • Demonstrated participation in extracurricular activity 
  • Demonstrated involvement on-campus
  • Previous work experience of any kind preferred
  • Must be able to complete a post-offer physical examination successfully in accordance with position functional capacity requirements
  • Will be required to work in elevated areas above 4 feet
  • Must be able to climb ladder and wear fall protection as necessary
