Become part of the Labor Management team, designing, building, and delivering a robust application that supports Publix business areas in managing labor activities such as forecasting, time attendance, and scheduling. Your Impact:
  • Design and deliver scalable applications, APIs, databases, and event-driven solutions using React, .NET, SQL, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, support, and enhance enterprise applications.
  • Lead technical delivery for multiple initiatives while ensuring adherence to development standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to drive engineering excellence.
  • Participate in Agile planning, refinement, review, and retrospective activities.

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging .NET Framework (8, 9, or 10), in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL, including experience with database design, query optimization, and the use of ORM frameworks (such as Dapper or Entity Framework) to develop efficient and scalable applications
  • 2+ years of experience with Kafka for event-based messaging
  • 2+ years of experience developing modern frontend React.js frameworks integrated with backend APIs
  • 2+ years of experience in driving a team's work in an agile scrum environment
  • 1+ years of experience in reviewing and approving design of complex technical solutions working with architects and other company resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes (K3), Docker, or other containerization technologies such as OpenShift
  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing projects and projects teams
  • Experience or desire to work in event-based/micro-service style architecture
  • Experience with .NET 10
  • Experience with Kafka Connect and Kafka Smart Router
