Job description

POSITION:ROV Pilot Technician IREGION:AmericasGENERAL DESCRIPTION

* Minimum 1 years of offshore ROV / Trenching experience.
* Offshore operation, data recording, maintenance and repair or the ROV / Trenching / ROVDrill system and ancillary equipment under the direction of the Superintendent / Supervisor.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To perform ROV operations as instructed and in accordance with approved procedures and Canyon QHSE Policy and Objectives
  • Stock-taking and inventory control of the system spares and consumables.
  • Maintain system and project records (e.g. inventory, weekly reports, dive logs, video logs, etc... under the direction of the Superintendent or Supervisor.
  • To conduct and maintain records of maintenance in compliance with Canyon Offshore Maintenance System.
  • To ensure work area and equipment are kept clean and safe.
  • To carry out other tasks as delegated by Canyon Project Manager or Superintendent / Supervisor
  • To cultivate and maintain a positive attitude.
  • To apply safe work ethics.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.

COMPETENCIES

  • Shall meet IMCA competence criteria by satisfactorily completing assessment as a Pilot/Technician Grade 1 with a nominal minimum of 1 year's offshore experience and 100 hours piloting.
  • Shall possess extensive knowledge of current safety and quality standards as applied to systems and their requirements in an offshore environment.
  • Shall possess current HUET / BOSIET, medical certification, Safe Gulf and passport.

Canyon Offshore is hiring ROV technicians and supervisors with Perry (XLX/XLS) and Schilling (UHD/HD) experience. All applicants must be US citizens or hold valid US Green Card.
